I’ve even heard my friends talk about how they’re lighter skinned than their parents and would constantly have to prove that they belong to their parents. The video Dhar made is a lil stupid though because the school would ALREADY KNOW that the daughter is in an interracial home. It’s usually something that gets discussed pretty early on in the enrollment process in order to keep stuff like this from happening. His video also could have focused on the mental toll accusations like this have on the child... the video is just bad.

They originate from a real life problem and then go on to explain it in the most ridiculous, over done way possible so the experience is no longer relatable and the moral is painfully obvious. It appeals to the lowest common denominator and assumes zero ability on the part of the audience to interpret anything that isn't immediately and clumsily shoved in their faces. And then because people will watch it and go "well I'm not problematic because I don't say or do those horrible things" so they feel like they can pat themselves on the back for doing literally the bare minimum. Real and more subtle examples of racism and prejudice are never addressed or called out by Dhar Mann, so in the end the viewer never learns anything new but they feel like they can walk away the hero.
