There's the dividing line. Supporting riots is never a good moral stance. The only people hurt in these riots are innocent bystanders, the owners and employees of the businesses that are vandalized or looted, and the same cops that these rioters are going to have to call in case of emergency. BLM's whole narrative have done nothing but sow division and stir up racial hatred. BLM has only helped white supremacy. Good for you for speaking the fuck out about police brutality. As a white woman who grew up in the 90’s in a mostly white state (Maine) we were all told “RACISM IS A THING OF THE PAST! Seems like being black is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Either you're "not black enough" because you're light skinned or a "scary criminal" if you're darker. Obviously, I don't have first hand experience as a white woman myself, but I grew up my whole life being underestimated and having my successes being chalked up to affirmative action and being victim blamed, so I at least get those parts and I'm sorry for all that bs

I watched the beginning of this video and decided to be the stereotypical keyboard warrior i am and make a response. The first thing i'd like to say is that i actually didn't really disagree with his statement on the situation but I didn't think the phrasing was good and was almost too vague, I think the brutal police killing of george floyd was a disgusting act, but the way that Jarvis phrased his response almost sounded like he was sympathizing with the violent side of the protests, and i'm not saying that the violent acts couldn't be viewed as a equal response, what I'm saying is that the backlash is misdirected and unproductive, instead of targeting government and the people responsible, violent protesters are often targeting local businesses and innocent bystanders, which turns people away from the message entirely and gives more people the excuse to commit violent crimes and destroy the whole movement from the inside out.

Gonna give a bit of input on one small subject. The reason people get upset when you kneel for the flag is because it’s incredibly disrespectful. At this point, the pledge itself doesn’t really mean anything, I guess, the “liberty and justice for all”, depending on who you talk to. But you’re supposed to say it anyways, remove your hat, and put your hand on your heart in tribute to the veterans and soldiers who fought for this country. They went through hell and back, worse (or just as bad) as anything that’s happening now, so although peaceful protesting is good, the kneeling for the flag just wasn’t the way to go. It got a lot of attention, but in trying to bring equality and an issue to light, it kind of pushed back another group of people and put them in the shadows, invalidating the struggle of the people who fought and died for this country. Coming from someone with a military family, it hurt a lot to see thag. Way too long of a comment, I’m sorry.

However, in my opinion , it is not okay to disrespect the flag. There are many other great ways of peaceful protesting. For example, the protesting of George Floyd. (Apart from the telling police to go f themselves and setting buildings on fire) but otherwise, the peaceful protests are a great way to stand up and against rasism( also when going to big protests- wear a mask so ms covid doesnt like eliminate everyone) just my views :) :)

A lot of the MNmorers I follow are white people, because of how youtube works and finding brown people who aren't weird white-washed, drag queen, stereotypical caricatures of brown people has been interesting. I really enjoy your content, have binged everything over the last two years, and wish you the best. BLM, ACAB, etc. (Also, my dad is Black, like locks and a goatee and RBF and he was once stopped in an airport after dropping off a foster kid to his new family and was asked if he was a terrorist. My dad wears khakis and polos because he's a social worker and yet he gets pulled over by cops he works with for "smelling weed" despite my dad... being a social worker? I've been treated like crap because people assume I'm Hispanic or illegal, despite having no Hispanic features. But we, my family and I, fear what will happen to my dad because he's had close calls before. He's since quit being a social worker in that capacity, he works in psych wards now because he'd rather deal with someone experiencing mental trauma than deal with cops in the streets.)
